Coles Funeral Directors shortlisted for three Business Growth Awards

We’re very proud to announce that Coles Funeral Directors has been shortlisted for three awards at the Business Growth Awards 2021.

As the first funeral directors to be shortlisted for the awards since it was founded in 2016, we are finalists in three award categories – Community Support, Innovation and Customer Service. This is thanks to our innovative approach to death and dying in line with the Death Positive movement, as well as conversations around death across all age groups with our education programme, Bereavement Hub and funeral planning capabilities.

The Coles team has also been recognised for its community support throughout the pandemic including free 1-2-1 over the phone counselling services, charity donations and hand-delivering essential supplies to the vulnerable in the Cardiff area and more.

Speaking of the nominations, Francesca Coles, head of communications said: “It’s been a difficult year for businesses and individuals, so we’re honoured to be recognised for the work that we have been doing to support our community throughout the pandemic. For those dealing with bereavement, we’re with them every step of the way and no detail is too small – from the initial visit to the service itself, and follow-up support should they need it.

“Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen this support evolve to meet the needs of our customers. As an independent, family-run business, we’ve been able to respond quickly, and we can only thank our team for how quickly they have adapted with true empathy at the core. We couldn’t do this without them. Their commitment and attention to detail are what makes us stand out, and it’s why our community continues to trust us at such an important point in their lives.

“We’re looking forward to the awards ceremony later this year and are grateful for all of the support we’ve had so far. Please do keep your fingers crossed for us!”The Business Growth Awards celebrate the success of businesses in South Wales. The ceremony is set to be hosted later this year, and more details will be released over the next few months. For more information, please visit:
