How would you like to be remembered?

Written by Director, Gareth Coles:

This month at Coles Funeral Directors, Remembrance has been at the forefront of all our minds – as we’re sure it has yours. We’d like to round off this month’s theme with posing the question: how would you like to be remembered? Here at Coles, we’d like to be remembered as helping and guiding our customers through their difficult times with care, thought, and attention to detail. We’d like you to remember us as holding your hand and thinking of everything, so you didn’t have to.  Of course – we’re always striving to improve our service so if you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your comments.

Having recently surveyed a number of our customers about how they would like to be remembered – ‘thoughtful’ and ‘considerate’ emerged as common traits.

It’s widely agreed that one of the most thoughtful and considerate things you can do is pre-plan your funeral. Indeed, you’ll have the funeral that best reflects your wishes whilst your family will have the peace of mind knowing that everything has been taken care of when the difficult time comes.

It’s also a sensible financial decision!

Funeral costs are increasing on average by 80% every decade and 1 in 5 people struggle to meet funeral expenses – which is why a pre-paid plan is a wise investment. With one of our funeral plans (in association with Golden Charter) you can protect yourself against these rising costs by paying today’s prices. Irrespective of the future increase of service costs to us, the cost to you will remain unchanged and your family are relieved of any financial burden associated with your pre-planned funeral. A Will can be included in your plan to give you complete satisfaction that you’ve taken care of everything.

So perhaps if you want to be remembered – among other things – as thoughtful and considerate, it’s time to book an appointment to discuss pre-planning your funeral
