PRESS RELEASE: Coles Funeral Directors is Opening a New Funeral Home in Cardiff North

CARDIFF – 12th July 2018 |Cardiff’s local, independent, family-run, funeral business – Coles Funeral Directors – is going from strength to strength and opening up a second funeral home in Cardiff North!Whilst Coles Funeral Directors premises on Newport Road remains their priority – the business’ year-on-year growth has meant a search for a second premises to better service a new and growing customer base in Cardiff North. A familiar face of the Coles team, Services Manager Claire Robertson explains:

“Over the last 12 months or so we’ve really outgrown our Newport Road premises, and the Coles team is really looking forward to having a bit more space to move! It means our arrangement room – which is in really high demand at the moment – will be more available should our customers want to pop in and talk to us about their future funeral plans.”

Director Gareth Coles has been asked a number of times what the expansion plans mean for customers in Rumney and as the head of his local, independent, family business, he’s keen to stress that community is everything to the team at Coles Funeral Directors:

“I’d like to reassure all our customers that Newport Road is still very much a focus for us as the foundation of the Coles business. The same dedicated team will be there, looking after the families who have come to know and trust us over the years.  Our customers in Rumney and surrounding areas can expect the same level of impeccable, personal service and on-going investment in the business and the community including: sponsorship of local sports teams and schools, support for local churches and congregations, and promotion of local businesses and partners.

We’re also now looking forward to getting to know our neighbours in Cardiff North. The old Barclay’s Bank was once the heart of the community – and we’re looking to give this building a new lease of life”

The branch on Newport Road is the only funeral home in Wales to have achieved accreditation from the Good Funeral Guide and it is the intention that the new funeral home on Heathwood Road – which is already undergoing a re-fit  ‘The Coles Way’ – will meet the same exacting standards.  Building work is due to complete in September, ready for business in early October.

Gareth Coles shares his hopes for the future of his business:

“We’ll be working hard to build relationships in the North Cardiff area, just like we have in the East of Cardiff… and we hope that the local people we’ll be working with there are as generous with their support as those in Rumney have been – and hopefully will continue to be for many decades to come!”
