Coles Funeral Directors have experience of carrying out religious, non-religious, civil and humanist funerals. We believe every funeral should be unique; the perfect reflection of the life of your loved one.
Your chosen style of funeral is very important when reflecting the beliefs and values of your loved one.
Burials – traditional and natural
Whether for religious or other reasons, traditional burials are still popular with many people, as they can offer a focal point for later commemoration. At Coles Funeral Directors we can help give you guidance on finding a local plot if you don’t already have one arranged.
While most burials tend to be in traditional cemeteries, more people are choosing a natural or woodland burial. We can talk to you about these options if that’s what your loved one would have wanted.
Around three quarters of all funerals in the UK are now cremations. They can work out slightly cheaper than a burial, with a service held at a church before moving to the crematorium or a simple service at the crematorium itself.
Your loved one’s ashes will be ready for collection after a few days – or we can inter them in a casket of your choice. You don’t need to make any immediate decision about what to do with them and ashes can be kept with us until you feel ready to make the decision.
Multi-faith – or no faith – funerals
At Coles Funeral Directors we have experience of guiding relatives through all types of faith and non-faith funerals, accommodating all necessary customs.
Whether you would like to arrange for your loved one to lie in their own home, or you need to wash the body yourself, our modern facilities mean we are able to accommodate your wishes. We can even help with overseas burials and cremations, although these cases are always complex so please talk to us as soon as you can.
